While automation is able to streamline repetitive, rules-based business processes, the software is largely unable to deal with exceptions on its own or make decisions outside of how it has been programmed. On the other hand, AI can be used, even in addition to automation software, to approach tasks that require more complex decision-making and analysis, such as natural language processing, recommendation services, and online customer support. The coordination between the aforementioned technologies also points to what is possible in the future of RPA.

The Future of RPA

The big question is: Where is RPA headed? What does the future of RPA look like?

The development of RPA technologies has already come a long way from the days of simple screen scraping, and RPA continues to transform how many companies approach their business activities, especially when it comes to scaling and streamlining processes. It’s a superior technology that has made its way to the forefront for the benefits it provides and the ease at which these benefits can be obtained. Yet, the market is expected to continue to evolve even further and more innovative RPA solutions are predicted to emerge.

Industry analysts expect the combination of RPA solutions with even more intelligent technologies has great potential for widespread adoption across all industries. Machine learning and cognitive computing, for example, are technologies that involve learning on the part of the computer or software beyond their initial programming, much like a human would respond in similar scenarios. Nearly two lakh Robotic Process Automation (RPA) led jobs are expected to be generated in the country by 2021, Daniel Dines, CEO and Co-Founder of UiPath, a Bangalore-based software company.

India is in prime position to become a RPA powerhouse because of its growing talent pool and cost advantage.

RPA has been gaining traction as a way of automating repetitive, tedious tasks to handle higher-value analysis and decision-making, he said

"India is reaping the benefits of a new genre of jobs created from RPA. The Indian mind is apt for this technology," he added.

"Indians have the right ability for workarounds and out-of-the-box thinking that works well for RPA. So we see a great pool of RPA talent emerging from the country," Dines said.

RPA will help build India's middle class, he said adding currently only one per cent of the Indian population earns above $20,000 a year.

"RPA is right now creating jobs that will push a higher percentage of the population into this segment," he added.

To qualify to write the Blue Prism Professional Developer (APD01) exam you must have first passed the Blue Prism Developer (AD01) exam at least six months previously.

To qualify to sit the Designing Blue Prism Process Solutions (ASD01) exam you must have first passed the Blue Prism Developer (AD01) exam.

For all exams a retake cannot be taken until at least one month after a failed exam.

Pearson VUE provides computer-based testing for information technology, academic, government and professional testing programs around the world. Pearson VUE provides a full suite of services from test development to data management, and delivers exams through the world’s most comprehensive and secure network of Test Center Locations in 175 countries.

 Registration Details for exam:

To register for an exam you will need to have a web account with Pearson Vue. To do this please visit http://pearsonvue.com/blueprism and select Create Account from the right hand side of the screen.

When creating an account with Pearson Vue you will be asked to provide your Portal ID, first name and last name as they appear in the Blue Prism Portal. To get Blue Prism Portal ID, you need to sign up in Blue Prism Portal. To do this please visit https://portal.blueprism.com/

While enlisting for an exam you might be given the exams for which you are qualified. The APD01 and ASD01 exams have exam pre-imperatives.
